modo Tell us what you need

Privacy.

What we collect when you get in touch, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

modo. is run by Vaughn Meyer, based in Portugal. For anything about your data, email hello@modo.services.

What we collect

Only what you send us through the enquiry form:

To stop spam, our server briefly notes a scrambled version of your internet address so it can limit how often the form is sent. It is not linked to your enquiry and is cleared within an hour.

If you book a call, the booking tool collects the details you enter there, such as your name, email and chosen time.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, talk through what you need and, if you go ahead, set up our work together. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We don’t use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.

Who else handles it

Each of these handles data under their own privacy terms. Some may process data outside the EU under approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need to deal with them, and for up to 12 months after our last contact if we don’t end up working together. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the length of our work and for as long as the law requires for business records.

Cookies

This site doesn’t use cookies or tracking for analytics or advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the details we hold about you, to limit how we use them, or to object to how we use them. Email hello@modo.services and we’ll respond within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to Portugal’s data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
